On Friday, March 3rd, Saint John Paul the Great celebrated its 2nd annual Around the World Cultural Heritage Day and Festival. The day celebrates all the different and rich cultures in our JP Community with a festival that includes International food, presentations, and other activities.

John Paul Clinics and Workshops are back!! 4th - 8th graders are invited to join us at JP this fall to have fun, make friends, and develop skills in volleyball, soccer, basketball, and/or STEM! We look forward to seeing you soon!

On May 21, 2022, our own Paul Marich, now Father Paul Dominic Marich was ordained to the priesthood. Father Paul expressed his gratitude to Jesus, "for calling me to be your priest! May I always be faithful in serving you and your Church!"

On Thursday, June 2nd, our STEM Department received a generous grant from the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association. AFCEA VP, Scholarships Director Jim Longi visited JP to award the grant check and was able to see the JP Robotics Club in action. Last year, with the generous support of AFCEA, John Paul launched our STEM department under the leadership of Dr. Hassan Moore, Ph.D.

The Annual Senior Awards night is planned for Thursday, May 19th. Invitations are sent to the award winners. The event begins at 7:00 PM in the theater.

Today at a special Mass, Saint John Paul the Great celebrated our annual May Crowning of Mary. The event is celebrated each year during the month of May when the statue of Our Lady is crowned with a wreath of flowers and honored as the Queen of Heaven and the Mother of God.

On Wednesday, April 27 the Class of 2022 Valedictorian and Salutatorian were named! Our Valedictorian is Emma Youngblood and our Salutatorian is Xander Fry. We are looking forward to hearing them speak at Graduation!

JP Wolves excelled at The Running Store City-County Championship! Sean Alorro set a new school record for the 800m with a time of 1:59.88. Sean’s achievement came after he anchored the 4x800m relay team with James Bertram, Daniel Merriman, and Xander Fry to a new school record. The boys 4x400m relay team with Patrick McCurdy, Michael Clark, Xander Fry, and Sean Alorro also set a new record at the event.
