We would like to once again invite you to participate in our six-week Adult Bioethics course in the evenings. The Fall course will cover the freshman Bioethics course, “The Human Person,” followed by the sophomore course, “Principles of Ethics” during the Spring. This year we will also offer two classes on "Beginning of Life Issues" with Dr. Andrew Kubick on September 22nd and October 6th, with two classes on “End of LIfe Issues” in the spring!

The marching band, cheerleaders, and SLA welcomed our students back to JP on the first day of school. What a joyful sight to behold!

Just days after arriving at JP, Fr. Smith led his first mission trip as chaplain, taking 15 students to the Navajo Nation to host a youth Bible Camp for local children. Throughout the week, our missionaries shared the theme, “Thy Will Be Done,” helping the children discover how to trust God’s plan and follow His will through prayer, Scripture, songs, crafts, and games.
Nearly 25 children participated in the camp, forming friendships with our students and growing together in faith. Well done, JP Missionaries!

April is Month of the Military Child! Students, faculty, and staff were invited to write the military branches their family members have served in or are serving in on a banner, take a blessed St. Michael the Archangel medal (the patron saint of the military), and put stickers on a world map of all of the places they've lived! On Tuesday, April 14th all students were invited to wear purple, which represents all military branches, and our military families were treated to a special breakfast in the library.

A group of JP students attended the Chrism Mass during Holy Week at St. Thomas More Cathedral with Bishop Burbidge. They also connected with Mr. Tibor Baksy, former JP teacher, and alum Camden Short ('24), who are both Diocesan seminarians.

On March 26, we held our 5th Annual Around the World Cultural Heritage Day and Festival. Students, faculty and staff wore traditional dress from around the world, and we held an assembly which included our Parade of Nations and a student-led rosary in over 20 different languages. After school, we enjoyed food and performances from our talented students. Thank you to Sra. Giraldez and the Ethnic Diversity Council for all their hard work in putting together this day that truly brings together and celebrates our JP community!

Gifts made until 11:59pm on May 13 count towards JP Giving Day and will help our school make much-needed improvements to our campus this summer, including repairing the roof and upgrading the baseball field.

This spring our Bioethics Department is excited to offer an adult seminar on the "Principles of Ethics" during the evening. This Spring’s course will take place on Tuesday nights from 7:00-8:30 beginning on February 3, 2026. The course is free and open to anyone, including those outside of the JP Community. While the topics do build upon one another, it is not absolutely necessary to commit to all sessions.
