Today at a special Mass, Saint John Paul the Great celebrated our annual May Crowning of Mary. The event is celebrated each year during the month of May when the statue of Our Lady is crowned with a wreath of flowers and honored as the Queen of Heaven and the Mother of God.
On Wednesday, April 27 the Class of 2022 Valedictorian and Salutatorian were named! Our Valedictorian is Emma Youngblood and our Salutatorian is Xander Fry. We are looking forward to hearing them speak at Graduation!
JP Wolves excelled at The Running Store City-County Championship! Sean Alorro set a new school record for the 800m with a time of 1:59.88. Sean’s achievement came after he anchored the 4x800m relay team with James Bertram, Daniel Merriman, and Xander Fry to a new school record. The boys 4x400m relay team with Patrick McCurdy, Michael Clark, Xander Fry, and Sean Alorro also set a new record at the event.
Congratulations to our Senior athletes who signed up to play sports at D1 schools! Anna-Kate Domingue will be playing field hockey at Northeastern University and Payton Hurley will be playing soccer at Loyola University, Maryland!
Fr. Tipton will drive a Bus and can pick up students at Holy Family and All Saints who wish to join but do not have transportation. There is space for 13 students. Please email Father @ fr.tipton@jpthegreat.org to reserve a seat.
Students, Faculty, and Staff voted for the design they would like to see on this year's Paschal Candle. The winning design will be painted on the candle by one of John Paul's gifted artists.
