Our beloved namesake, Pope Saint John Paul II, inspires everything we strive to accomplish. We are the first high school in the country to have taken his name, invoking the title "Great" as given to the late Holy Father by proclamation of the people during his funeral Mass in St. Peter's Square in 2005. By his example, and through his intercession, we embrace the call to lead lives of joyful holiness, teach and celebrate young people, and respect each person's life and dignity.
