Dear Future Wolf,

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Saint John Paul the Great Catholic High School.  This is our 11th year and we are so happy that you are interested in joining us to help celebrate our wonderful school.

On this site you will find a great deal of information about our college prep curriculum, our exceptional teachers, beautiful campus, faith-life, clubs, music and arts programs, competitive athletic teams, and much, much more.

Our JP family has grown much over the past 11 years: from a 9th and 10th grade only school (at 202 students) to a full 9th thru 12th grade high school (at 754 students).

But our family always has room to grow and we’d like YOU to join us … to get to know us … to meet us:

We know you have tons of good options when it comes to choosing a high school in the Northern Virginia area. Each school has its own personality, culture, and values. At JPtheGreat we are a family steeped in an understanding of the dignity of the human person, a school with faculty and staff who want each and every student to excel and live the life God wills for each.

If this sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, please visit soon and apply for admission to join our family.

Blessings and prayers for discernment,

Mary C. Gildersleeve
Director of Enrollment Management

Have you heard?

Saint John Paul the Great was named one of the top 50 schools in the 2012-2013 Catholic High School Honor Roll competition sponsored by the Cardinal Newman Society. The Honor Roll recognizes excellence in Catholic identity, academics and civic education at Catholic high schools across the United States. We were again given the award in 2014 and and every year since, though the name of the award was changed to Catholic High School Honor Roll.

The editors of Virginia Living magazine have selected John Paul the Great each year since 2013 as a “Top Virginia High School” recognizing excellence and innovation in the Humanities category for our Bioethics Curriculum, and in the Math and Science category, among others.
