2017 JP Fun Run a Great Success
JP Fun Run for Options was a GREAT success
Today, despite the near freezing, blustery day, more than 250 folks showed up to run (or walk) in support of our Options program. The 1.5 mile race had young and old competitors including our very first Options student, Sean. NHS students were out in force to cook up pancakes, pour hot cocoa or coffee, and chat with the runners as they came in after the race.
All proceeds from today – including the raffle for two sets of Caps hockey tickets, cash donations, and net profit from the paid contestants – will go to help support our Options program for our students with moderate intellectual and/or cognitive disabilities who cannot access our general curriculum.
